The property is constructed of natural Clipsham limestone stone in hydraulic lime mortar and is highly insulated with triple glazed windows and screens. Simple contemporary detailing and traditional materials were used to compliment the existing structure with heating and hot water supplied by a ground source heat pump. The property is located within the conservation area and RL:A were approached to design a traditional dwelling that would sit comfortably next to the other properties within the village. The project involved a full renovation of the property including the conversion of the lower ground floor service rooms to create an open plan kitchen and family room.
